Ann-Christine Jansson was born in Sweden and lives in Berlin. Jansson has worked as a freelance photographer since 1980, mainly for international newspapers and magazines and German magazines as Stern, Die Zeit and Der Spiegel and has contributed to various book projects. Photo-editor at Svenska Dagbladet, Sweden and taz/die Tageszeitung, Berlin and teaches photography at the Photocentrum am Wassertor, Berlin. She earned her Bachelor of Science in art history, pedagogics and sociology from the University of Stockholm. In 1971 she conceived the photo exhibition Tomtebogatan with students of Christer Strömholm´s legendary photography school.
